David NG McCallum is a guest researcher at the Smart Textiles Design Lab.
McCallum is a practicing new-media artist and has exhibited internationally, working with performance, interactive and mobile installations, wearable electronics, and everything lo-fi. His work can be seen at sintheta.org.
McCallum studied music composition and physics at Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada), earned an MSc in Art and Technology at Chalmers University of Technology (Göteborg), was the Editor in Chief of Musicworks magazine, and is currently completing a PhD at the Valand Academy (University of Gothenburg) exploring deep relationships between patterns in traditional textile processes and patterns in software.
