A textile underwater garden

Fifty years back, the river Viskan in Borås was called the seven colour river. Kids did enjoy a colour full variety of their bath water. Parts of chemicals gave colour to the former fashion and textile industries, others sank to the bottom and are still sinking deeper down in the sediment.

The experimental and conceptual design project “A textile underwater garden” investigates if old chemicals from the former textile industry could be brought back to give new textile expressions.
